International Federation of Accountants
IFAC is the global organization for the accountancy profession. It works with its 155 members and associates in 118 countries to protect the public interest by encouraging high quality practices by the world's accountants. IFAC members and associates represent 2.5 million accountants employed in public practice, industry and commerce, government, and academe. Its structure and governance provide for the representation of its diverse constituencies and interaction with external groups that rely on or influence the work of accountants.

Practical PD
Practical PD was founded by Stephen Priddle, CA, CMA to provide practical, relevant seminars for accountants. They are offered directly by Practical PD and sometimes through other organizations like Institutes of Chartered Accountants, CGA Associations or CMA Societies. Nearly 2,000 Canadian accountants have attended these seminars. The seminars are very different from most PD seminars and have been well received. The emphasis is on practical nitty-gritty tips that can be applied directly in your job, rather than vision and strategy and "soft" stuff, which are covered well in other courses.
